Building a Movement for the SDGs
A central part of my social-impact work has been helping young people understand that the Sustainable Development Goals are not abstract international commitments. They are challenges that can be addressed through their disciplines, professions, communities, and everyday leadership.
SDGsACT
From a Campus Platform to a Wider Student Movement
I founded SDGsACT LASU as a campus platform for students to connect their academic and professional interests with the Sustainable Development Goals. What began at Lagos State University grew into a broader campus movement, mobilizing students across institutions and developing young people as advocates and implementers of sustainable development.
My continuing engagement has evolved from founding and campus leadership to supporting the wider organization through governance, partnerships, and institutional development.

SDG Learning & Leadership
Developed the SDGs Interim Class, a learning initiative designed to equip students with practical understanding of sustainable development and their roles in advancing the Goals.
Microbes for SDGs
Connected scientific interests with sustainable development by exploring how microbiology can contribute to environmental remediation, health, and other dimensions of the SDGs.
COVID-19 Response
Led SDGsACT Nigeria’s COVID-19 response efforts, mobilizing the network to contribute to community-oriented interventions during the pandemic.

Since 2018, I have been actively engaged with the Millennium Fellowship, a leadership development program presented by United Nations Academic Impact and Millennium Campus Network. My journey has evolved from Millennium Fellow and Campus Director to admissions leadership, global program coordination, and continued engagement within the MCN community.

Health Equity
HealthDrive Nigeria
HealthDrive Nigeria advances health equity through community-based education, screening, vaccination, research, and preventive-health initiatives, with particular attention to infectious diseases and underserved communities. I currently support this work as Co-Chair of the Board, following earlier leadership of the organization’s Steering Committee.

Contribute scientific guidance, infectious-disease research, evidence synthesis, systematic reviews, and data-driven insights to support HealthDrive Nigeria’s health interventions.

Policy Shapers
Policy Shapers is a youth-led civic innovation platform focused on expanding meaningful youth participation in public policy. I contribute as a founding team member and Policy Advocacy Lead, supporting policy research, advocacy, innovation, and youth engagement.

Contributing to a citizen-driven long-term development vision designed to place people’s aspirations, evidence, and participatory governance at the centre of planning for Rivers State.
